Root Baseband and rom

Ok guys, I'm on EJ06 with CM7. It's pretty fast, and smooth! I have used ctmod and kk2 kernel before. When I first rooted, FF19 had some bugs so I went with FF16. My question, is this, with ff19,does ctmod run any faster? And what does everyone else run?

It shouldn't make a difference, I am using ej06 myself. When I upgraded to that it works so if it ain't broke don't fix it! LOL! Just sayin!

I just rooted my wife's phone and flashed FE16 on it with CM7. It's running great and the internet is fine. Slow internet has been my problem with FF19 in the past.

DITTO ! I like FE16 also better on my phone than FF19..... FF19 is on my phone definitely slower when it comes to downloads and general data speed !

You have to use odin to install the baseband and then whatever rom u choose it will be on that baseband. Untill you change it or restore a backup that is on a diff baseband. (I'm pretty sure?)

Cwm won't change your baseband.

But cm7 will work on any GB baseband, despite the fact that it says you need EJ06...

it only says that you need EJ06 because that was the only GB baseband available when he released the ROM
