Root Baseband or Firmware?

When changing Kernel on phone using Rom Manager, and it says works with DJ05+DL09. Which are they talking about? I'm running Froyo on my Fascinate and wanted to look into ways to make it faster...any help would be great.

Those are Elair (2.1) ROM's. There are no Froyo(2.2) ROM's available on RM as of now.

You should never use ROM Manager on the Fascinate (or any SGS device).
