Basic homescreen widget/questions

I'm still waiting for this to come to VZW.

1. How many home screens can be used for placing widgets or app icons?

2. The way I would like to use the phone will be to use a weather widget on one screen, a calendar on another that will show me what I need to do that day, a reminders widget on another, and some other news widgets. Is this a bad idea? Will having 3-4 widgets kill the battery significantly quicker?

The note 2 has 7 screens that can all be used as you want.
