Root Basic Noob ROM Recovery Question

Getting a little more experienced loading up different ROMS after rooting and have a pretty basic question about recovery methods....

Rooted my phone with DroidMod....then loaded up their Droidmod version 1...

wanted to try out Koush's new Cyanogenmod 5.0.4.2, so I installed ROM Manager with Clockwork Recovery, then loaded up 5.0.4.2....

later went to a customized version of Koush's mod that loaded via Recovery 0.99.3b (sprecovery)

My question is, if I load a ROM via sprecovery, then I cannot use Clockwork or Droidmod, or vice versa....each is an alternative that can't be used at the same time....correct? also if I do want to switch back and forth, I guess I need to reboot into that particular method?

The only popular rom that uses clockwork is the rom from cyanogen. DroidMod, ChevyNo1, Pete, Blackdroid, AdamZ ..... all use sprecovery. Going back and forth between the two has caused some problems. Meaning they are not cross compatible. Check out this LINK it can explain it better than me.
