Root Basic root functions

Has anyone tried any basic root functions, such as removing bloatware, changing the font, changing the boot animation, using xposed framework, or changing the status bar icons? If so please let me know I would really like to know what I can do safely with this phone.

Before i bricked my device I was successful in deleting all tmobile bloatware and changing the ui sounds. I bricked my device however by trying a 3g speed tweak from a script. So my advice to you is be careful and don't attempt it with out a backup first.

I know it's a lot of work but could you list everything you were able to remove safely? And maybe what you froze safely???
 
I can't give you a detailed list right now hopefully when I get home in a couple hours. Once I test it on my device (that's if I am able to unbrick it this evening) first.

Actually yes that helps a whole lot, I see you changed the battery icon and everything is white, have you tried different fonts and boot animations? Just wondering because I always change my boot animation to the latest CM boot animation with ROM toolbox.

No I haven't change the boot animation or the fonts since we don't have a recovery and we are limited.
 
Definitely getting this phone now, its now 29$ at metro after rebate. Thanks for the info, I was "testing the waters" before I jumped in if you understand that saying lol. I will try to change the font once I get mine, I will let you know if I am successful.

I also saw that it's $29 on the site but is it only for new customers or can existing customers also get it?

Hopefully its existing customers as well, it doesn't say anything about being a new customer on their site so hopefully it's for all customers.

Well i called and asked and they said its $50 but then they send you a $20 rebate through the mail... but at least the deals good for new and existing customers :)

Now if only they had some in stock lol , did you purchase a case from metro? If so how good is it?
