Root Battery acting flakey with CTMod

I rebooted the phone and when it came back it had dropped the battery percentage by 12 points. I'm using GSam Battery Monitor and the chart displaying the graph usage had a big gap in it. And now it's telling me there's only 4:30 hours of battery life remaining.

Any ideas on what may have caused this? And perhaps more importantly, if there's anything that can be done to "fix" it?

1st, let your battery run all the way down until the phone shuts off. Let the battery charge all the way up and boot the phone up.. Go in to CWM and clear your battery stats. Run the phone again until it runs completely down until it shuts off. Charge it all the way up again.

I've seen and increase in my batteries life by doing this. Hopefully it'll work for you, Then again, your battery may be going bad too.

I always try to at least run my batteries all the way down at least 2 or 3 times a month. Some people say it works and others say they really don't see much of an improvement. All I can say is that it works for me. Hope it does for you too.

What's the best way to run a battery down?

Ok. Thanks for the tip. So you're saying to let it charge the first time without turning it on? That's better than charging it while running?

I'll give it a try tonight (this afternoon, by the looks of things) hopefully it will help.

It is, of course possible that the battery is bad since this is one if those Ting refurbs. Could have been about ready to die when they sent it.

Turn your screen brightness all the way up and play music or watch a movie.

Yes, most definitely charge the battery with the phone OFF. :)

Well I did this last night. Not sure how much it's working since I've been on the phone quite a bit more than normal today so it might not be a good representation of what it would be compared to recent activity.

But hopefully over the next few days I'll get a better gauge of how it's working.

Plus I'm going to attempt to make adjustments to the kernel settings to see what I can do on that front.

For draining the battery I set the back lighting high and installed XBMC which is a known battery hog. Drained it right down!

I Think It Worked For Me :) Lol It Took Forever For My Phone To Get To 100% From 99%. I Cleared Battery Stats And Ran The Battery Back To 0. Then Charged It Over Night. It Hit 70% When I Was Walking To 4th Period. Usually I Had To Charge It In 1st Period Again

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the other thing I did to help drain the battery was to flash the oc kernel and over clock the processor to 1340 while playing the movie. That really helped drain it quickly.
:-)

I'm tellin' ya. lol This has worked for me since I started doing over a year ago. :D

I do this several times a month and I can tell a difference after each time I do it. ;)

Lol Do You Have An Extended Battery? Maybe That'll Be A Significant Amount Of Battery

I have two 1800 batteries but nothing big like the 3200 or anything like that. Screw having that huge back cover. I like my phone protector and it won't fit with one of the big batteries. :D
