Help Battery and heat

joeshark

Lurker
I got my second sensation, cause first on battery was only lasting about 3hrs with no use, and was cooking.
This second one seems to last longer, but still getting noticeably hot.
Have I gotten unlucky with two lemons?

I got another few days to return this one?

this phones get hot with use? I'm new to android, but have friends who have them, and they say theirs are not getting hot.

Thanks,
Joe

What os your signal strength? Don't go by the "bars", check the "dBm" levels under the phone status. If you have a weak signal in your area -91dBm or lower (e.g.-105dBm), the phone will work harder to maintain connecivity.

Heat is one issue I personally don't have. Phone is actually cool to the touch. Maybe third time will be the charm.

My battery life is pretty good and the phone only gets hot when used heavily. When idle or used lightly it stays nice and cool.

Mine will get a bit warm when I am using it for awhile. You have to understand that the more cores you add, the more heat it will generate. Especially with this phone being so thin, you are going to feel some heat. I wouldnt worry unless it gets HOT

Thanks all. Im wondering if the lookout antivirus app, also doesnt help with battery? I have removed it. Don't know if it's a must have?
Will try with out it for a while.
Guess if you really want to get really good battery life, you really have to streamline the widgets and stuff running in background with android.

The stock batteries are CRAP! I switched mine out with an Anker 1900mAh (Amazon, cheap!), and I now get 11hrs moderate/heavy use and 15hrs normal use out of the battery!
Got at least 40% more battery. (Actually have 2 phones, and it's the same results.. No lie.)
