Root Battery and other issues

I hear a lot of ppl saying that they are getting WAAAAAAY! better batt life then I can seam to muster up here. I mean even ppl with my device running the same ROM and kernel settings are getting from what they report pretty good battery longevity, So ya I'm going through every possible fix, workaround, method, setting, app I can to get any kind of decent longevity with my battery's life here all, so I'm all ears and eyes for ANY tips anyone may have left to put me up on man. I mean a lot of battery draining can be solved with proper compromising of settings on ones part, like I myself keep sync off and just hit refresh in my email app and I keep my screens brightness level at like 40-45% I mean I know what I'm doin, I'm not the man like GameTheory, Masterchief, Hadron & Earlymon to name a few but I'm no begginer and I mean I do have the same phone ROM kernel and settings GameTheory says he has his kernel set to for the most part and I am not getting his kind of battery life though. & that's my problem I knw but damn how can somebody with my phone get say two days of moderate use out of theyre (SAME) device, & I watch one movie off YouTube maybe browse around XDA or something and will already have to hit the charger! I know its not the ROM I mean if anything this ROM helps with battery, well u know with freedom kernel & all, and I had better battery life on a stock kyocera hydro or the LGMS323 any stock phn I ever had gave me better battery life. I mean I rooted this phn and jumped on a custom ROM & kernel to better my device to get more out of it and it just seams like I'm not getting the awesome battery life others in my exact situation as far as phone ROM kernel & settings are. And I'm trying EVERYTHING.

O one more thing if anybody knows of an app or setting or monuver I can make/do to manually stop a background running app? for instance if I'm not using an app that stops apps from background running like Android Forums for instance I don't need nore want it running in background when I'm not using it or any other app that I'm not using. its been said android takes care of itself just sit back and enjoy, yet apps are all kinds ah running in the background so when is android gonna do its thing? I believe in the pros who I look up to on here I wouldn't be following they're advice if I didn't but I gotta agree with another fellow on these forums when he said damn My battery really did last like 40 mins longer with DU than without I've done the testing and the proof is in the numbers, that's all I do know.

but ya so can I just force stop an app that's running in background manually under settings-apps or like use GSAM to stop an apps process? will it stay stopped like DU's optimized/stopped from roague running optimizer tool?

Greenify does this; it's on Google Play.

As to your battery problem, it might be your battery itself. Li batteries always degrades over time. Faster lost of capacity under conditions of high temp and being at full charge for long periods of time.

O no my phn gets unplugged at 100% I don't leave it plugged in all day n night like some do o no ut-uh. But ur rite over time all battery's longevity decreases that's just the way it goes over time with use. I do however manage my settings and syncs..... Well hell I keep sync off n refresh email and keep screen brightness around 40-45% er so. It makes a huge difference keeping settings, levels & what not low

& low
