I find that the battery level reporting appears to drop pretty rapidly from 100 to 90, but then it slows down. Overall the battery usage seems to be pretty good on the tab. Turning off the wifi when not in use helps (in contrast my LG phone does not seem to matter whether I leave the wifi on or off). Note if I put the settings to turn off the wifi automatically when the screen is off, I will get random reboots and the occasional wifi error.
On my wife's iPad 3, the battery level will stay at 100% for up to about an of usage before dropping to 99. Perhaps they designed the battery level to give a false high report. But in the end the battery on the ipad does last a real long time. We always leave the wifi on (takes extra clicks to turn it on and off in the ipad, but there appears to be no reason to turn it off). The ipad has a bigger battery but it also has a bigger brighter screen; we never have to fuss about finding ways to conserve battery on the ipad.
