Hi Friends,I am new to Android phone & I need to know the battery performance of Galaxy Y Model..So please help me about the average time of getting battery backup for this phone....
One day with -- 1 and half hour of talking (2G), 8hrs of msging, 1hr music(headphones), 2 times restarting the phone, 24hrs GPRS ON and 20 to 30 min of playing games. If u want battery life then try not to swtich it ON and OFF not more than once a day and dont use more of vibrations. And yes have a screen lock to save the battery as screen light if left for few hundred seconds still eats some battery.
Follow these steps to increase battery backup on Galaxy Y:
1) DO NOT install any battery saver applications. Many people get attracted towards such kind of applications assuming that they will increase the battery backup. They increase little amount of backup but unfortunately they eat up backup what they saved by running in the background continuously. Instead of saving the battery, they keep running in the background and increase the burden on battery. 2) Decrease the screen time out setting to 15 seconds. 3) Set screen brightness to 50%. 4) Disable all connections like data (GPRS), wifi and GPS when not required or not in use. 5) Do NOT use live wallpapers.
6) All Android mobiles will have a setting for enabling location through which your mobile can be tracked either by Google or you (using www.samsungdive.com). If you don't want to be tracked, then disable it from settings -> Location and security -> uncheck "Use wireless networks" option and also uncheck "Use GPS satellites" option if it is checked. This will also improve battery backup.
I have personally followed all these steps and have seen improvement in battery backup. Hope this helps you.
