Help battery charge time?

I got this phone today, turned it on, and let it die. I've been charging it using my laptop (while turned off) for the past 5 hours.... is that expected? What kind of charge time are you getting for full charge?
couldn't take it anymore and I turned it on..... 67%??!?!? wtf

it takes longer to charge via a computer over the wall charger because the voltage is lower for usb. plug it into the wall if you want it to charge faster.

Ay, plug it into a wall outlet and it'll prolly charge within an hour.

I've done 2 charge cycles. Both started with the device not being able to turn on and charged full ~2.5 hours with the stock charger and phone on & screen off.
some USB ports have more power than others - usually depends on the computer design. if you have a mac and are not using a [unpowered] hub, then you should experience a fairly decent charge rate cause they're designed to charge higher power draw devices like the iPad. there's too much variation in pc's to even guess how long it might take (some will undoubtedly be faster than others).
