Accessories Battery Charging dock... charge via USB?

I was thinking of getting the above, along with a spare battery for taking on long train and coach journeys.

But I can't understand the operation fully. Can I plug a lead into the USB socket and charge via the lead. As it is US Socket and I am in the UK

Looks like it but be warned, a lot of these e-bay chargers do not charge properly and cause the phone to do lots of weird things. There's lots of posts about this. For a

I use one like this. It plugs into my PC USB and passes the connection through to the device so no worry about voltages etc. It works just fine.
