Root Battery charging

I have a new battery and just put on a new rom bugless beast and wipe battery stats and it stays at 40% what is wrong? Im charging thru USB. Thanks

The ROM tracks battery stats... but doesn't necessarily control them. You do that in Recovery, where the battery stats get wiped and reset. Generally when I flash a new ROM OR change the battery, I put a full charge on it and wipe battery stats in Recovery.

If someone smarter than me wants to correct me, I'm pretty teachable... but that's how I'm seeing it and it has worked every time.

P.S. - Finding someone smarter than me shouldn't be too hard

I use this. Works the same as CWR, but can be done outside of recovery mode. Even beeps at you when it hit full charge.
