I find this running all the time in the Services section in Advanced Task Manager. Can anyone tell me how to turn this off/Disable it? I've tried End All but it always pops back up. Thanks.

Charged my phone while ON overnight. Wake up to a green battery light.

Turn phone off -> red light, more charging.

Get green light and pull out charging cable then plug back in -> red light, more charging.

Give up and turn phone on.

This charging system, whatever the root cause, is a POS and needs a fix. Charging your battery completely should be a passive task, zero participation other than plugging it in.

Used my blackberry micro usb to charge my Incredible and killed it. Waiting on my new phone tomorrow. Just a warning.

i was having major battery issues( battery lasting 2 hrs) so yesterday i did a factory data reset after doing this, restoring my contacts and calender and re installing my apps, my battery life seems to have improved greatly, Full charge on 5/7 at 1pm still 75% at 9am on 5/8 :) good luck to all

Hope you have insurance.

Read the warning on pg 6 of your Incredible Tips, Hints, and Shortcuts.

Cheers
Psh, as long as the charger is of decent enough quality (read: constant, specific voltage) all will be fine. They don't want you picking up a $0.99 charger off ebay and frying your shit.

RIM is more than trustworthy when it comes to chargers :-P

Guess that's why BB charger fried my Dinc. Just talked to a guy in the gym and his girlfriends Dinc started acting up after using her BB charger. Talked to Verizon today and they have changed their tune and recommending against using BB chargers on your Dinc. Says all you want its a sales pitch, which it might be, but i tend to listen to those in the know.

I have a sollution to the battery issue that the Incredible seems to be plagued with:

Call Verizon and ask them for a new battery. For me, my battery was running hot (in excess of 100 degrees F) and the charge was not lasting at all (as most have experienced). It would last from 8AM and be dead by 5PM. After I reported the issue, they immediately sent me a new battery and in 2 days I had it in my hands. As an example of the performance I'm now experiencing with the new battery, I charged it up overnight (no bump charge), turned it on at 8 this morning and after moderate use today, almost 12 hours later, I have 39% charge left.

That's 39% after nearly 12 hours! I'm satisfied with that, especially compared to what it was!!

I can attest to them giving you a new battery without issue. However i never got chance to test any methods as my BB charger fried my internal components and ran the batter down. At the end I was on a 3hr max battery life. Will see what the new phone does. I can't believe they only put a 1300mA battery in these phones. Really stupid.

Fixing to order a battery..the one that doesn't require any bulky back, and just fits right in my phone...with ease...:)

I think the biggest battery capacity you can get w/o changing the thickness of the phone is a 1750mA "slim". The next step up, I believe, would be the 2150mA and then 3500mA which would both require a new back and add 2 - 4 mm thickness.
