Help battery cover

Just picked up my D3 from Verizon, the rep put the battery in the phone and everything was fine, I took the battery cover off to put in my sd card and now the bottom part of the cover won't snap in. Am I missing something?

The bottom attaches on first and the top snaps down. Does that make sense?

Thats what i thought, and was trying, but it just wouldnt stay. Turns out when i originally tried to put it back on i had bent the clips down so it wouldnt snap. Problem solved!
