Help battery discharging before completely charged

my phone's battery discharges before it is finished charging. i tried different outlets. i switched to a replacement battery. the phone worked fine after encountering this early on, but now several months later both batteries are malfunctioning again. first one began this backward action and, after switching batteries, a few weeks later the 2nd one started doing the same thing. anyone know why or what to do?
 
If your phone has never been rooted, then go to the privacy setting and select the "Factory Reset" option.
If this doesn't help, try swapping the charger.

Question: Is the replacement battery OEM or something cheap?

If your phone is under a year old you can get VM to replace the OEM battery.

Another trick is to charge battery from the recovery menu.
