The included charger really keeps this device topped off rather quickly. Thus far I am impressed with battery life. I have been putting this thing through its paces and the battery is holding its own.

I agree. But it did that thing my other phones do too. It got to a full charge last night, I powered it down and unplugged it from the charger. 7 hours later I turn it on and the battery is down to 88%. however, plugging it back in it got to full charge QUICK, in about 15 minutes.

I know there's a reason for the battery drain while off, I just don't know what it is.

p.s. Yeah, yeah, I know there's such a thing as Google, but hey, I just woke up. :D

my point is with the bigger battery in the max the charger piece that connects to the wall increases the output (per htc) so it charges the battery faster than prior htc adapters.

Yeah, I got that point, I was kind of just making an unrelated point. And as to your point, the faster charging with the bigger plus is awesome, another reason to love this phone. :)

Mine has a little issue as well. The battery loses 6 to 10% after 6 to 7 hours standby with no applications running in the background.
