Battery doesn't sit flush

Just opened my new N2 and I'm finding that the bottom of the battery doesn't sit flush into the battery pocket - the bottom is raised a bit (picture below). The bottom will sit flush if I set the bottom of the batter in first, so there's nothing on the battery or the phone causing a bump.

I can get the back on and have it on the charger. But I don't know if this is normal, or if I should be exchanging.

Thoughts?

I'm not sure if that could cause future problems, but on my AT&T N2 the battery is flush.

Does not look right, should fit snug with nothing sticking out...before messing with it I would take it back

Yeah, I think I'll return it before I even get to play with it. My expectations are pretty high since Im buying off contract for full retail.

Guess I'll have to wait until next week to test it out.

Take it back to the store (carrier) and see if they can fix, replace or adjust it. May be something simple. Good luck

Well, this is interesting...

I just took the back off to remove the phone to pack things up and the battery was sitting flush. I guess when I snapped the back on it forced the battery down into place. I can remove and put the battery back now and make it flush - but it requires the slightest *snap* into place (not much force, but requires a little). All of my other phones the battery has been an slide into place.

I guess on the positive side the battery is definitely secure and wouldn't fall out if I took the back off.

Yes, the battery is snug and requires slight pressure to insert fully. This is by design so that shaking the phone about does not effect battery contact.
