This does not seem to be fixed with Froyo, phone was running 100% since I unplugged this morning, turned off gps with switchpro, no longer running 100%.

ETA, could have been the WiFi, was not connected...but searching?

ETA #2, could not reproduce with either???

It's definitely fixed in Froyo. You must have something else going on then.

Yeah, still looking for it.
New phone coming today, and I'm doing a fresh reset on everything including the SD. Will add apps one at a time and get rid of the offender.

You guys are way too advanced for me, I don't understand all this mumbo jumbo...but I know DX is supposed to have best battery life among all the smart phones in it's category.. A coworker just bought a HTC Evo,G4. And his battery last about 1.5 days to 2 days, with no changes to settings, etc.

Mine barely makes it till 9pm. I charge it all night and take it off the charger at 9:30am when I leave for work. NOW, I've made a dramatic change in settings... It's always running at OFF PEAK hours.

Factory setting was 10pm to 5am (OFF PEAK) hrs, so the 3G is not running. I changed it to custom setting so the phone is always running OFF PEAK... I don't like this, and don't know if it helps, I'll see.

Not sure if this info will help you but... I have my gps toggle turned on. I leave it turned on for my google lattitude. I've been unplugged for 3 hours and my "running time" is 24.4% and im still at 88% battery life with mild-light use. says I've still got 13 hours of battery left

13 hours of battery left??
I'd be thrilled with that. I have wireless and GPS turned off and my X sucks the battery like a drunk with a bottle of moonshine. And I got rid of any widgets that update on a schedule AND I lowered my syncing and refreshes for things like email to hours instead of minutes. I do have bluetooth on always - or inevitably I'll get in the car and have a call come through and wonder why in the heck am I not able to answer the phone via bluetooth in my car... I also have background data on.
