Battery Drain From Media (Help)

Battery dies from a full charge in 3 hours with majority of battery usage coming from "Media" Its also causing my phone to max out its CPU and its making the phone hot. ive already deleted multiple apps and its not making a difference. I used System Monitor to check everything.

Do you have a memory card in? if so, does it still happen with it removed? Does force closing the gallery app help?

I'm having the same issue on a boost mobile ZTE warp. Just started about a month ago. Really caught on to it not even a week ago. I'm rooted w/a custom rom. It used to be a constant thing, bit once I realized what's going on, I can get it to stop, by force closing a few apps (fb, yahoo, I have a geocaching app that I usually just delete and install later). He main thing is the 'media' in running apps. For whatever reason, this stops it but every 3 hrs media will turn itself on for an hour and burn up to 45mb then stop. Another 3 hrs goes by 45mb out the window!! Any ideas?

SD card is removed, and tried force closing the gallery, but no luck. The CPU is still at 92 %
