Does anyone have any sure fire cures to stop rapid loss of battery life in my Android Incredible. I use the Advanded Task Killer several times a day, and apps still get loaded and sap my battery. It is usually depleted by noon, with very light use. (or so it seems to me) Lafe NT="Book Antiqua"]ADoes[/FONT]

ATK is likely one of the reasons that your battery life isn't stellar. Newer builds of Android is better at managing memory. Processes that aren't currently active can hibernate and Android will re-purpose their memory when it needs it. If the process isn't needed anymore Android will kill the process itself. ATK comes in and decides for itself what is needed and not needed. ATK will then kill processes that it deems unnecessary. Android see's that processes it thinks should be running are no longer running and restarts them. ATK then see's the processes active again and kills them. Android restarts them. etc. etc. etc.
