I like the phone and wanted it for the bigger screen and camera, but don't want to have to always 'clear' cache and stop apps running, that is a pain in the butt.
tytlyf, by going to sleep do you mean the screen going black? It does after 30 seconds and does not come back on until I hit the home button, I have been on facebook, texting and usual stuff this morning and it is down to 67% from 100 at 7 am, it is now 10:53
You gotta use that wakelock detector.tytlyf, by going to sleep do you mean the screen going black? It does after 30 seconds and does not come back on until I hit the home button, I have been on facebook, texting and usual stuff this morning and it is down to 67% from 100 at 7 am, it is now 10:53
5.Another thing with the S4's is the S Voice. It's their version of Siri. I can't remember if it is turned on or not but S Voice you can set a wake up command...So when your phone is at the lock screen you can say Hi Galaxy or any phrase you want and it goes into S Voice...well this keeps the mic running and uses more battery...it even says it in the app settings that it will..So go into S Voice->Menu button->Settings->Wake on Command...make sure that is turned off.
6. Shut off gps if you arent using it...Especially if you are indoors alot..gps tends to loose signal easy and if it can't find it it will keep searching.
So, I was curious about these...
I turned off the S-Voice thing and the GPS last night and saw a HUGE improvement in my battery life. I was down to about 38% after about 20 hours. I was streaming music from Google Music for quite a while, and also used several other apps throughout the day along with a couple of phone calls.
Then, I charged it to 100% right before leaving work. It's now been 1:20, and I'm still at 98% having used a few times (not much action) since then.
That said, HDMI out is a pure evil power drainer. Works sweet, but comes at a price.

Thanks. At the top of the list it should tell you the awake/sleep time. If you click on that green/red bar it will open a new window. Can you take a screenshot of what you are seeing on a couple of the screens? Those are some low stats and I'm guessing you may have only ran it after it was on your phone for a very short time. Thanks! Take a screenshot by Holding the home button and power button at same time.ok I have wakelock detector...now what do I do? it lists these running...

My name is something I've had for years I just made up for one of my first email accounts. "Tight Life"great helpful post tytlyf (and you have to tell us where your name comes from...is it short for something or what? lol)
Anyway, looking at your screenie, your phone is down to 50% and your screen was on for less than 2 hours. Barbz comment earlier indicated she had a screen time of 2 hours and 3 minutes and was down to 57% remaining.....that to me looks like her phone is acting normal especially when I compare it to yours....you actually only had your screen on for 2 hours out of those 2 days. She is a power user while you seem to use your phone less.
I'll re-admit that I am certainly no expert and I am just trying to learn like a lot of people here, but just wanted to share my thoughts and if I'm wrong, by all means correct me.
