Help Battery Draining Culprit

dwe1982

Newbie
I've been having an awake time issue, with the battery draining quicker than usual. After digging around for a while, and using Spare Parts for diagnostic purposes, I've found that UID 10080 is showing up above android system on partial wake usage. Any idea what it is??

Thanks in advance,
Nate

Wow this thread is old. I am having this problem too though. Does anyone have any idea what this is?

Edit: Found out what it was by doing the following (thank you to sbradymobile at xda):
In terminal emulator you can try the command dumpsys batteryinfo. This should give you some idea what the app is.

For onscreen display:
su
dumpsys batteryinfo

To save to a file to view somewhere else:
su
dumpsys batteryinfo > /sdcard/batteryinfo.txt
The culprit ended up being Handcent.

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
are you using any task manager? did you check in spare parts and see what others are holding a partial wake?

i looked a little through google and found a few things that had the uid 10080 and it seems that it is connected to a task manager app. i could be wrong though but that seems to be the case in the few i saw it mentioned. so if you are using a task manager i would recommend that you not use it. android does a really good job at managing resources and apps.
