Root Battery draining fast

sushifor5

Recently I added a few more apps...i now have 85 user apps with Link2sd (love root and that app!)

I've noticed, however, my battery draining faster than before. Anything I can/should check?

Is there a good app for showing what specifically is draining the battery? I have Android Assistant but don't really know how to use it,lol, and if it tells what is using the battery and how much.

TIA!

Android system is the android os. I'm betting something is keeping it from sleeping like it should when the phone is not in use. This is called a wake lock because the phone is kept awake.

This is usually do to some app, but could be many other things

Thx for explanation...how do I find and fix a wake lock?

Find the app that's keeping the phone from sleeping....you said you recently installed a few new apps...it must be one of those..

How do I do that? (My phone looks asleep...the screen times out after 30 seconds of no use... Is that irrelevant?)

That's why I suggested better battery stats and gsam battery monitor. They will tell you what the problem is.

BBS is the better if the two

Right, but I don't know how to interpret the info or what to do with it. Gsam says, in the android system screen, 1055 for number of wake locks. I have no idea what to do with that info, lol. Help? Thx! :)

Click on android system and it'll give you more info

Also can you GI into the phones settings where it shows battery use and click in the graph?

It'll show things like screen on, awake, battery, sect and a screen shot of that would be very helpful

I'll try and report back.

Edit: ummmm, I can't insert pics with this forum app? I'll have to plug into computer...

ARgh, I'm sorry, but I cannot figure out how to insert my screen shot photos ...what am i missing here besides an active tech brain?! :p

OK, think i figured it out, here we go:

Its going to be different depending on what phone you have and your version of android, but mine is in the main phone settings not the app settings.

Settings>battery/power

OK, I don't know if this helps, but check out the "number of wake locks" screen:
