Help Battery Draining Rapidly

I recently bought a Nexus 7 on eBay and it works great, except for one issue. The battery drains extremely rapidly. The location is off, the screen is dimmed all the way down, but the battery drains within a day, even if I don't use it. Does anyone else have this issue, and what can I do to fix it? It is updated to the most recent version.

Sounds like it needs a new battery...


Or perhaps bad software is installed?

You can try doing a factory wipe and NOT installing any apps. Don't even set it up. See if it holds charge then.

Some poorly written apps won't let the device sleep/standby correctly. It is more likely the battery is shot, but this is free to try.
