Root Battery draining too fast

i am running cm9 alpha 4 with kernel fe16 and i cant get through 5 hours without having to charge or throwing my extended battery in. i need my phone to last the day with the job that i do email,calls,text,social networks,ect. i would really like to know why my battery is draining so fast. i deleted alot of apps that were draining the battery, but it dies too fast still. please help.

What radios (4G, 3G, Wifi, etc.) do you have on all day? Of the apps you left remaining, which ones do you have syncing and what is their respective time intervals? A lot of things can drain the battery, but the biggest culprit is usually the screen. I run AOKP and the best I have managed was around 18-20 hrs on a 2000maH battery with around 3 hrs of screen on time. Though I personally have never tested CM9, I have read many complaints in regard to the substandard battery performance.

Could also be a processor governor/CPU usage issue. If the proc is always running at full tilt trying to give the "best performance" it could adversely affect battery life.

See what/if you can change your CPU governor to in a settings area of the rom.

I'm also running AOKP Build 37, and having no issues with battery.
