battery draining

I have seen plenty postings like this I haven't seen a answer that would apply to me. I wake up in morning and unplug my phone, it is full charge within 1/2 hour is down to 60% and I haven't even looked at my phone until then. I leave it upside down so it won't turn on. it has been fine until recently. I use to listen to a radio station for hours and it didn't run down the battery much at all. I play a few games but I haven't in the past few days, the battery has been loosing life. I will leave the phone upside down in one spot most of the day and it just drains the battery.

Not happy with this update and regret doing it. If I had a chance to revert back I would. The battery drain is real. I've done all the suggestions other than a FDR.

Honestly - you might find that the FDR cures the problem. No guarantees, but, if it was bugging me that much, I'd do it in a heartbeat. (After making doubly sure that everything important was backed up.)

That said, what are the top battery users in settings / battery?

... and ... you still have the problems after a Wipe Cache Partition while running in Sage Mode???

If the answer is yes ... are you positive you did the Wipe Cache Partition and let it run to completion (7 to 10 minutes).

If you did do the Wipe Cache Partition and have the problem in Safe Mode then a Factory Data Reset seems to be in order. If the problem is there after that then a replacement would be the next logical step. (Better mow then later when it is no longer under warranty.)

Correct. I did Wipe Cache Partition and it took approx 7-10mins. I'm assuming I did it in Safe Mode(there's no other option, right?)

I guess I could do a FDR, but I'll need to backup alot of stuff. I guess that's in order this weekend. I dunno if I'm still under warranty. I got this right around launch.

Almost.

You reload the system starting in Safe Mode. While powered on, power off. When the dialog appears long press on Power Off and respond Yes to enter Safe Mode.

This will reload the system and disable all apps you added without uninstalling them.

Run that way. If the problem stops it was caused by an app that you added. Find the bad app and run normal.

If the problem does not go away ... prepare for a device swap ... do a Factory Data Reset. When you do that the problem just might go away.

(The buttons under the display of my Turbo stopped working. I tried everything. I was getting ready to turn it in ... did a Factory Data Reset ... the buttons started working ... have had no problem since then.

Dumb question but if I uninstall any games on here, that means I'll lose all progress/saves, etc correct?

I think that varies from game to game if you uninstall.

If you run in Safe Mode the games you added will not be available. Their data will not be touched.

When you return from Safe Mode the games and progress data should be available again.

The purpose of Safe Mode is to see if an app is causing the problem or the system is causing the problem. If it is an app ... find out which one and uninstall it.

The only game I have is Real Jigsaw. As a test I went into Safe Mode ... it was not available ... when I returned from Safe Mode it was available and had my progress data intact.
