I'm not sure what I did, but now when my battery is full, the sound indicator goes off and continues to sound until I acknowledge it by pulling down the window shade...It use to only make a very short sound...any ideas...

In the sound and display menu is a "system volume" selection, with a slider control. That slider is supposed to control very few sounds, such as the boot up melody. Some users have noticed that it'll also cause things such as you describe if that slider is moved too far to the right.
I keep mine all the way to the left (silent) and it has no effect on any notification or media volume, just no boot up sound and nothing when the battery reaches 100%, etc.
