Battery indicator is wrong?

When I have about 50% battery left, the indicator in the notification bar makes it seem like I have 70-80% left. Does this happen to anyone else? Just wandering if anyone else noticed this or maybe it's just me.

I've had it happen to my rooted G1 before and it was a software issue.

Same here, I'm at 43%, but the indicator is showing about 80%

I would think this should be an easy fix with an update.

Battery indicator is wrong. I listed it as a bug in the Bugs thread.

I have a battery widget so I don't even look at the indicator. Actually, I have 2 widgets. One that stays in my statuts bar that I can see while I am in tasks. The other stays on my home screen and I can click on it to change my wifi, bluetooth, GPS, and screen settings. Amazingly they both always show the same percentage!
