Root battery issue using mw

hi guys,
I've been using mildwild oxygen and its a great rom. only one problem i have, when i'm watching a movie and the battery level gets to 40, it then powers down. is there something i have done wrong! has anyone else experienced this before?

just to throw this out there, i do want to try dgb, just to clarify do i flash the rom, then flash the hboot? thanks for your input.

It sounds like an extreme form of battery miscalibration (normally it's 15-20% that this drifts to, rather than 40). If so it's not that you have less battery life, just that the meter is misreporting how much charge you have left.

There are a few threads on battery calibration in this forum, e.g. http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=4000901.

As for flashing dGB, yes, try rom first, then worry about hboot. The method for hboot flashing is different from ROM flashing, so make sure you know all of the steps first.

Once you have switched to a new ROM, try BatteryCalibration. This is an app that calibrates your battery. It cleans the batterystat file from the previous ROM and makes a fresh current one - Calibration.

Let your Android phone drain to 0% (It should turn off automatically) >> Charge it up to 100% fully (keep it on charger) >> Open App, Calibrate >> Take off charger. Done

It should say on the app though :P

[Requires Root Obviously ;) ]

I used this method, works very well.
