Battery Issues causing delay?

So.....maybe they're opening all of the boxes to replace the batteries and this rumor issue will be a non-issue.

I was just wondering something similar. Even if it's some sort of software update to fix the problem, they have to unpack each phone to apply the update. How many phones are we talking about?

If that's the case, then I want the price to be a certain percentage off for it being an "open box" item.

I really want the Thunderbolt, but I dont want to deal with battery issues again. So I'll prolly wait a couple months after its release to see if the battery life increases.
