Help Battery Issues

This is sreekanth, two days back i purchased brand new HTC wildfire, the battery back up of it is less than a day (24 hrs) even though phone is in idle. Can anyone give me the solution for it.

Do you keep GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G etc on all the time? You should turn them off until needed. The Power control widget is excellent for this. Also, mind your screen brightness. Usually you won't need the full 100 %
