Root Battery life differences between ROMS

Sorry if there was a question like this already, but I looked through the threads and "similar threads" before I posted and found nothing.

Is there a reason why when I start off I have fresh, fully charged battery, but when I flash a new ROM, the batter indicator is low or empty. Then I recover back to the previous ROM and the battery is showing full again.

Whenever I flash a ROM (or SBF), I discharge the phone fully, turn it off, plug it in until it's 100% full (and let it sit for another 20 mins or so.. Circle battery widget often doesn't show full charge for 15 mins after the phone says it's full and to unplug it), turn it on and boot into CWR and wipe my battery stats. Seems to keep things playing nice.

Thanks for the info NiceGuy! I'll give that a try.

with my history, the more vanilla, the better battery life... i think it was BBeast that i had like 2 day battery life..... less bells and whistles helps!!
