Im getting horrible battery life, I came to work at 5 today and ive been playing music since then through my headphones and its now 910 and my battery is 1 click from half...
Anyone else having same issue?

Go to settings... battery and data... Battery usage.

What's been using your battery?

If you go to settings... applications... running services. Any apps there you installed that are running and you don't use?

Anything in battery usage that you installed and don't use? Go to settings... applications... manage applications and find that app and uninstall it. O/W if uninstall isn't an option, just stopping it here might help.

Sometimes just rebooting might make an app quit using your battery.

Install Watchdog from Market and see what's abusing your battery.

My battery usage has never been better.

So play your music with the screen turned off.

A better test would be to see what your usage is after a full charge with nothing running, like charge it up before going to bed and see what your usage was in the morning.

If it's less than 85% by morning, then somethings going on.

What battery plan are you on? (Settings... battery & data... battery mode) Try Max battery saver.

Ok I will do that tonight
Im on the regular by day and max battery save by night
And I do play music with screen off

Im not sure if my use can be considered heavy
I text I do a search here and there I play my turns on wordfeud
I listen to some music with screen off

I disconnected my phone at 11 am at 5% by 4 pm...

I was wondering about the extended battery. Have you run it dead, then fully charge it to let the phone know it's capacity?

With watchdog, you install it, then open it and use the default (not the aggressive) settings. It'll let you know if something is using a lot of cpu power, which in turn will run your battery down.

Can you list the top 5 apps listed in battery use when your phone has been idle? Like charge it before going to bed, reboot the phone (power off, then on) and let it sit idle while you sleep. We know using it will run down the battery, but I'm interested in what runs it down when it isn't being used.

Also, is wireless turned on? Do you use it? (if not, it should be off).

I went to Verizon today and they gave me a new extended battery, ill let it die out tonight and do as you said again and ill tell you what the battery read is
I don't have wifi on or sattlelite.
I have notifications for facebook, texts, calls, voicemail, emails wordfeud words with friends and that's it.

Ill check in tomorrow and tell you what happened

Hey colchiro, checking in
I let the battery die last night a d charged it you all day today, I've had the phone on since 10 am and it's now 9 15 pm and im 1 click above half battery.
I have used it less than I normally do but its still lasted way longer. Maybe I had a faulty battery cause this one seems to be working : )
