Battery life outstanding after replacement....

I recently got a replacement Fascinate (certified new reconditioned, of course). Nothing was wrong with it, but they replaced another one on our family plan and sent me one too. I was hesitant to activate the new one since you lose so much like settings, emails, texts, notes, etc.

Anyway, now my battery lasts forever!! Of course, i don't have all my apps reinstalled yet, and I suspect my Yahoo app was a major drain. I do think my replacement battery does not last as long. It's OEM, but does not appear to be the same as one that came w/ phone.

I put in a fresh battery yesterday (Wed) at 10:30 am, and I still have 50% at the time of this post (12pm Thur).

My old phone and this one both have 2.2.2. Neither phone rooted.

I guess I'm wondering if it is a different version of the phone, an old app that was draining my old phone, or what. Anyone else get a replacement and get longer battery life?

I'm almost afraid to install the rest of my old apps.

There is nothing unusual about that. The use and apps are what drain the battery. It is very odd for a phone to drain batt quickly, if you put all the same apps on it and use them the same way the phone will drain the same. I am rooted with CM7 and can get 36 hours on a charge with moderate use.
