Battery life question

I know GPS drains battery life.. What about just having the location setting on? Instead of e911 only.. Just wondering as out would take out Step withturning GPS off and on..

You can leave GPS enabled, it is only turned on when you have an app using it. You'll know GPS is in use because there will be a dish icon in the status bar. The other location setting uses wireless access points to get a fix on your location (Google marks them when their street view car drives around town). Just turn off wireless when you aren't using it, and if you install Juice Defender your battery life will increase by around 75%. Juice Defender will disable your mobile (LTE) radio when you turn the screen off (you'll still receive text messages and phone calls), and that is what drains the battery the most. You can even configure it to only disable mobile data when the battery drops below a certain level. I can go all day on a single charge with Juice Defender running and still have around 30% left at the end of the day. That's with me using the phone quite a bit during the day.

Thanks.. giving juice defender a run today..

Edit: free version of juice defender has me at 65% after about 7.5 hours.. Usually it would be dead or on its last breathes.. Phone has been sluggish time to time but i haven't really played with the settings..

Look for 2x battery...gained an extra 6 hours use in a day. It kills your data connection when the screen is off, but keeps auto syncing per your schedule so you'll never miss an email or alert.

Like that one better 54 percent left after 7.5 hours with moderate use st work.. Would be dying otherwise.. Prob gonna get full version..
