Help Battery life rapidly declining

First off, this is my first thread and I'm sure I'm an idiot when it comes to both threads and smart-phones.

I've had a Samsung Fascinate for roughly 6 months and these last 2 days I've noticed a rapid decline in battery life. Example: 7:15am battery life was at 64% and at 9:53am 51%. I had installed Launcher pro and Handcent this past weekend. I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. I uninstalled Launcher pro but my battery is still declining.

Go to Settings > About Phone > Battery Use. This can give you the best quick display of what is eating your battery. Also, remember to examine what widgets you have running, push settings for email, and any other processes designed to fetch data over 3G. Kill them or uninstall them and see if your battery gets better. Try making sure your GPS is completley unselected and also disable Google Location Finder. You don't need every app displaying where you are and what's around you, that just eats data and battery more often than it is worth.

In the battery use section look at cell stand by time, if the percent of time without signal is high you need to dial *228 option 2. This may help. Don't worry about killing any apps that are running, they will start automatically. If you are unrooted and running launcher pro you are also running touchwiz launcher. This will use more battery.
