Hey, I am currently S-OFF with mobster rom hd Lite, and struggle with battery life. I get up at 8 and even if im not using my phone, or am lightly it will be half gone in 4 hours. If im on 3g searching te web its like my battery dies so quick. Im using advanced task killer on aggressive settings when my screen goes off but it seems that if i have apps open and leave my phone alone my battery is bad. my battery seems to only have 8 hours of life on light use. Any suggestions on whether its me or my battery. thanks

Well for starters, don't use a task killer. They only drain more battery (having your RAM filled on Android is actually a good thing believe it or not).

becuase RAM is just storage space for apps.
having an app loaded into RAM makes it open faster, you WANT apps in ram because its easier than loading from scratch from the secondary storage.
also, being in ram doesnt actually consume battery. just because the apps are in ram does NOT mean they are actually using CPU power. they only do that when its open and your actually inside the app using it.
these phones do NOT work like your windows pc.... you WANT the ram filled becuase it makes the phone work better. on a pc if the ram is filled the whole thing slows down but it doesnt work like that here so get that out of your head.
what you SHOULD do is ditch the app killer and go look at your battery stats. it will tell you what service is killing your battery.
top contenders are display and cell radios. those use the most battery power than any app.
set display to auto brightness or dim and make sure you have no background data on. some apps pull in advertisements when the phone is idling so adblocker helps. removing that app helps more though.
