Root Battery Life

When I first rooted with Ivans office eris I have much better battery life, not I am on Evil Eris and I love this rom but the battery life is not as good. What should I do?????

Battery life seemed impacted by Evil Eris on my device, too. Not to mention the sheer size of the thing.

I switched to XTR 2.1.1 for other reasons though, not the least of which was getting rid of (most of) Sense.

I'm not going recommend anyone away from any ROM, though. Your mileage may vary. ;)

Please don't take this the wrong way, i'm only curious as to why you would have a rom that isn't pure vanilla, to get rid of most of Sense? Why not just go with a plain vanilla one like WW or CELB? Even using XTR with the vboost thing removes more of sense than before.

Just curious.

Some of the htc stuff is included in XTR, and some of the apps are morphed over to the "applications" menu, where they have an "uninstall" button (which is not there in Sense).

Of course, as a rooted device, it is subject to my (careful) removal of a few things via Root Explorer.

Choices <--- that is what attracted me to XTR. It's a very cleverly crafted ROM, in my opinion.
