Help Battery Life

The battery life while gaming on the full charge is about 3-4 hours on my phone.

What gets me is if I fully charge my phone and it sits there with no use, except auto updates with yahoo mail ( via service provider, wifi is turned off)
within 2 days or less the battery is dead!

This is not cool. With my older Sony Ericcson , forget the model no, if I charge it and it sits without use the charge lasts for 4-7 days as I recall.

Anyway to have the charge last longer on the Xperia Play????????? Short of shutting it down, that is..

what was the OS for your old erricson phone or what model for comparison reasons.

Its the same with all these smartphones. You have to get an extended battery to get good battery life. But the playy actually has decent life if i tweak the settings a bit. Iwich is good since i dont like the size of the available one

To be honest based on my experience, two days is fiarly good with an active data connection running in the background.

I never understood the issue some people had that their phones don't last 2 days?

I guess because i always have a charger(home or car), as long as my phone can make it 8 hours. I'm good to go.

well actually as we speak... 11h33m on a charge and still 65% left

If it's such an issue try an app like juice defender to prolong battery life.

Bear in mind though it will add considerably more bulk to a phone thats already not exactly know for it's sleek form factor. Or you can you know... Just carry charger with you... You don't even need the socket adapter really seeing as how it's just USB.
