Battery Life

Below are a few images of my battery life after a certain amount of time. After this time I was on 66%. What i was wondering was is this reasonably good or is it bad compared to what others are getting? I'm running dGB. Have my screen set to medium brightness/lowest brightness (about half and half).

Mobile Network has been on almost all the time apart from when WiFi was on. a 34% drop for just over half an hour usage isn't that good is it? And its light usage as well just reading a few texts and emails.

So what is your battery life compared to mine? And if you want any more information regarding my set please ask and I'll add it here.

What are you on about 34% drop in half an hour? It clearly shows a 34% drop in 9 hours.

It all looks good to me, especially given how weak your phone signal has been and dGB is one of the best roms for battery life there is

I meant usage as in screen on time rather than time on battery. And my signal isn't too bad, what do the colours indicate? Red no signal, but what about the yellow/green?

Looks absolutely fine. As Dan said dGB had awesome battery life.

I have to put mine on charge late afternoon/early evening but I use the wifi hotspot feature and am using it all day so am not at all bothered how long it lasts.

Oh right. Well your screen shots show You used 15.3% battery in 37:57 minutes of screen on. I work that out to be 4h 08 minutes of screen time before dead.

However other things will use battery so that can't happen.

What exactly is your concern? The.high %?

Dark green is strong signal. You didn't have much of that. Light green is average, yellow weak

It was just that Id only actually used my phone myself for about 40minutes and it had dropped to 66%.

Ah right signal isn't bad where I am but is always gprs :/

I was seeing really that my battery was as good as everyone elses.

Well it still uses battery when youre not using it. Only 15% of battery was used on the screen. You say it dropped to 66% but it didn't really did it?!

The graph shows a steady decrease over 9 hours..

Most people don't get as good battery life as we do, no.

That info looks really useful. Is it built into the ROM? I'm on mildwild and wehen I go to settings>about phone> Battery use I only get the one screen with battery use %age.

I'd be interested in knowing more about useage at it sucked when I tried Runnymede AIO.. though it was pretty.

Did you try pressing the battery graph at the top of that page? Or clicking on some of the items listed?

I'm pretty sure the MildWild Oxy 2.95 still had it (or at least that I'd have noticed if it wasn't there, since battery life was one of the things I was looking at).

Thanks.. didn't realise the graph was clickable. I'll have a play with it and see wat is using the battery.

if your only getting 2g signal set the phone to 2g only, as the 3g will run the bat down faster (10-30%), i cant use the HTC desire a lot unless i have got the 2400mHa bat installed as i can get an days use out of it as long as i am not using Sensorly app (coverage report app, GPS is used side affect is heat that shuts down the GPS if gets to warm also runs bat down fast)
the default 1200 1400 is to small with 3g enabled dies to fast (its fine on 2g as long as no back ground programs are running, just about an day use, i can get 2-3 days on 2g with the 2400mHa bat)
