Root Battery life....

So I bought my kid the admire, rooted it installed cwm the same day I bought it. The phone is 2 days old and it takes like ten hrs to charge all the way. It seems so slow it will charge like 3% in 2 hrs. Like I said slow, the only thing I can think to do is reset the battery stats in cwm. Will that work or do I need to do something else?

Try a factory reset, then wipe the battery stats. Also, try not to charge by USB. Its slower than a normal charger.
