Battery life

Getting really close to grabbing this phone as a successor to my year-and-a-half old OM. Wondering what those who have one are experiencing so far with battery life (preferably as a direct comparison to the OM if you had/have one), seeing as the M+ has basically the same size battery as the M with a 30% faster processor. I know the talk/standby specs are about half that of the M, but those #'s don't always equate to real-world results.

I didn't have the original optimus m, but this thing as awesome battery life. I've only actually seen the low battery warning once but I tend to plug it in every night cuz it's generally low. I don't use it heavily for gaming, but i do use it for music, internet, i have fb and twitter widgets. I use it a good bit.

Thanks, that's good to know. Just wanted to hear that it doesn't really suck. ;)
For all I know the battery in my M is pooped out after all this time and not giving full capacity any more, so it's possible the M+ could last as long as my M does now. Anyway I'm never too far from power so I keep it plugged in a lot of the time, always in the car and much of the time at home. It's only when I'm out and about during the day that I need it to last for a while on battery alone.
I may be heading over to the corporate store tomorrow to pull the trigger on it.

The battery life isn't the best, but I typically get the day out of it. Small price to pay, I think really. I've learned to just carry the usb cable around with me, so that way the battery life isn't really an issue, cause I can always just plug it in if need be. (: Pandora in specific really drains, so make sure you exit out in the app menu.

Spare battery works for me. When I'm away from the house and am solid screen on browsing (usually just helping here) on 3g, my battery disappears in a hurry, maybe 3 hours tops. On WiFi I can get up to 6 hours.

Well I just picked mine up this morning. So far so good, I may do the spare battery thing eventually. I did have one for the M, in fact it's still in my wallet but I guess I can take it out now.
If you want to save power when in a 3G area and you don't have wifi available, install the LTE On/Off app. It allows you to select "CDMA Only" which forces the phone to use only 1X. This may help with battery life especially if the 3G signal is marginal and the phone keeps switching back and forth between 3G and 1X.

They also make a rechargable battery that you can just plug into the charging port when the installed battery get's low (much more convenient as you don't have to reboot the phone).
