Battery Life

My phone drains in an hour and I am barely using it , just the odd text. Wifi ,gps, bluetooth are all turned off. Also I have it on a low screen display setting. When I charge it , it goes to a 100 percent in about 15 mins but then it will drain in about an hour . Is this a problem with the battery ? Or is it my battery stats ?

If your a root user, have you tried calibration your battery? If not a root user your battery could be starting to go bad.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Gio. I havent rooted my phone yet till I need to . I bought a new battery , it has not come in yet but will a new battery solve my problem? Thanks for your replies

It should, but if not, I would take it to where I bought it and either have it replaced or looked into having it repaired if it is still under warranty.

It seems like you have a bad battery... I've never heard of a battery charging that fast, so personally I think that's the issue. Let us know how it goes with a new battery!

Thanks for all your replies and the new battery worked out for me. Its back to normal now !
