Root Battery life

So my phone's battery life has been dying very fast lately and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. My phone dies in like 2-3 hours tops. Can someone please give me some advice on how to fix it?
 
That's really a matter of doing various tests. It could be an app you've installed recently, changes in how you're using the phone. Service issues in your area could cause battery drain too. Any number of things. Look in your battery stats and see what's using up battery to start. Try leaving the phone in airplane mode as much as you can and see if that helps.

Are you running one of the custom ROMs?

Install Snapdragon BatteryGuru, it'll help keep apps in line. Greenify can help too.
 
I'm running the ZV4 Rooted ROM and I just remembered that I installed a build.prop and that might be it
 
Okay so I figured it out what is killing my battery, its the build.prop bg4m3r posted a while back in a thread and I am experiencing the same effects bg4m3r did when he had the build.prop
