Does anyone have issues with your battery meter. Mine seems to show 100% for a long time and then plunges to nothing quickly. I have tried letting it run all the way down, recharging then, but same result. Gives me no warning either. Just that noise and boom shut down. Tried a batttery widget but it just mimicked the stock meter. Anyone else?

What rom/kernel are you using? I haven't seen this behavior with Vegan 5.1.1 or Tab rc1.
Using tnt lite - near latest version cant remember exact release. Have not tried any different kernels. Seems like the same meter from when pad was stock. Maybe the battery just discharges in an uneven manner?

You might want to give vegan a try. The gingerbread version is slick if you can live without hardware graphic acceleration and I greatly prefer 5.1.1 over tnt lite.
