Battery MOD, anyone tryed this?

The default battery meter is far too optimistic. You are getting the correct numbers from the new one.

Put on a black background, turn off live wallpapers, and use the lowest or one of the lowest brightness settings. You'll see your battery life go up a good amount.

edit: yes, you will see it improve after the break-in as well.
 
I have used this on my current Captivate and the first one that I returned. I love it, a lot more accurate and I too notice the battery improved on my original about 2 weeks in. My old one didn't experience much lag, I didn't know what other people were talking about, now I do. This one has lag but no random shutoffs, the other had no lag but had random shutoffs. I am afaid of the lagixes because so many other bricked their phones in the process. I guess these phones aren't really brickable from what I read on the XDA forums. If the lag continues to annoy me I may attempt it.
