Help Battery On Gets to 97?

For some reason when my battery is "fully charged" it only displays 97%. Despite unplugging it and replugging it over it over (and waiting for the blue light each time.)

I've done the XDA calibrate where you let it charge fully 'til blue while on, then while off, then on, etc and then reset the stats - but when I did that it still said 97 afterwards. It sat on the charger overnight and after sending 2 texts I casually looked down and saw it was down to 92. TWO TEXTS. At that rate I thought I was doomed - however I figured I'd let the battery drain normally and then maybe rewipe the stats later. I'm now on day 3 (a full 72 hrs) and finally it popped up that I needed to charge.

I thought now that I am drained maybe I'd post to get some opinions. It looks like I've got some good battery life, however I am anal about things being the "way they should" - should showing 97 when it's supposivly fully charged doesn't cut it for me. Unless 97 means 100 in Samsungs world, lol.

I have the same 97%..

It did show 98% after I did the "battery calibration" method you discussed, but after I charged yesterday it would only go to 97%...

No tool - just looking at the status bar. Frozen ROM gives you the %. I think somewhere in the settings you could look at a physical number on the stock Epic firmware too.

After charging last night on Frozen 1.1 (Had 1.0 before) it said 96 now. Maybe it's an issue w/ that?
 
I just flashed to the Frozen 1.1 ROM last night and when I woke up this morning after charging it said 98% then would jump to 100% then back to 97% then to 100%.
It's weird how mine jumps but everyone else it just stays at 97%/98%.
 
My Epic will often show 97 when I first unlock it. After a minute or two, it goes up to 100.

Just in case this is not out there, when I first got my Epic, I found that charging on the USB from my PC did not fully charge the battery. Using USB from the PC, almost as soon as I would unplug, it would drop to 95 or 92, and then it would be below 90 very quickly.

If I charge from the power cord, I can get to the full 100. I now only use the USB for synching.
 
Mine will only ever read 100% if I charge my battery outside my phone in a wall battery dock. If I charge my phone via USB (either with the AC adapter or using a PC), I only ever get 97-98%. It's the same with my wife's Epic. I believe it is a flaw with the Epic in general, when charging the battery in the phone.
