Help Battery only charges to 98%

Ok so basically I charge my phone every night at least 8 hours, but it only goes to 98% never 100%. Is this normal?

there have been couple of threads on this already. it actually reaches 100% and it goes down to 99% if left on charger for more than a few extra hours.
But I never saw/heard 98% when fully charged. What does it say on battery status screen, still charging or full?

It says full. That's why I was confused lol.

What it's doing is it'll get to 100% (or it should) while you are asleep. Then it will slowly start discharging back down to 98% or so. Then back up. A safety feature of sorts for the battery. If you catch it just right you can have it unplugged at 100%. I have many times.

Next time you do this, after you unplug it, if you have time and it's not at 100%, plug it back in and monitor the % climb until it's at 100%.

This of course is my novice observation...I'm no battery scientist or Android expert

I think I figured out the problem. I was charging it with the extra battery also connected to the y adapter. So I think that's why. I pulled the extra battery off, and it went to 100%

I'm alo experiencing this abnormality in battery, mine is charged the whole night and yet it would say 99% charged.. at times it's 100% Full

It depends on how long after it reaches fully charged status you leave it on the charger. I've put mine on at night with 50% left, so it got to fully charged status pretty quickly, and by the time I got up in the morning, it was at 97 or 98%. Once it hits fully charged, it starts draining - it doesn't continue charging.
