Help Battery Only Lasting 9 Hours

Hello everyone, I have the Virgin Mobile Samsung Intercept and I must say the battery life on it is HORRIBLE. It only lasts about 9 hours with barely making any phone calls and average text messaging use. Is there anything I can do to get better life out of this thing? I don't use wifi much so I dont think thats the problem. Thanks to all in advance!

I go for the minimalist approach to my intercept. I have my screen brightness set to the lowest and i make sure that no apps are set to auto-update. That and the battery doctor app from the market get me 14 hours easy with light use. I work in a call center and we can't use our phones on the floor for security reasons, so I only get to use it about 1 hour a day during the week, to put it in perspective. (Not including use at home)

Do you have everything on? Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Scrren Brightness set to max?
